The ACCUSAT is designed to provide virtually continuous and accurate monitoring despite high power use in Electrosurgery (ESU), considerable patient motion, high ambient light levels and on patients with poor peripheral perfusion.
Pioneered by Datascope, Electrosurgical Interference Suppression (ESIS) is included in ever every ACCUSAT sensor for virtually uninterrupted monitoring and superior accuracy. This is true at any ESU power level, and includes patients with poor peripheral perfusion.
The ACCUSAT's sophisticated software recognizes patient motion, and automatically varies the averaging interval to provide a fast update during quiet periods, and fewer false alarms and inaccurate readings during periods of patient motion. The ACCUSAT also adjusts to a wide range of pulse levels, achieving successful monitoring of patients with poor peripheral perfusion arising from hypothermia, reduced cardiac output or vasoconstriction.
Surgical
lights and other strong ambient lights have minimal effect on the ACCUSAT due to
the ENCLOSED DIGISENSOR design, and the partially opaque FLEXISENSORS and
bandages. Furthermore, the software continuously measures and adjusts for
high ambient levels.
As space is at a premium in the OR, the ACCUSAT is designed to fit easily alongside existing patient monitors. Only four inches wide, the ACCUSAT takes up minimal valuable width, unlike larger oximeters from other manufacturers, leaving space for additional monitors needed in the future. The ACCUSAT is also designed to stack with other Datascope monitors, resulting in a space-efficient and secure monitoring arrangement. An optional transport pack provides two hours of battery operation, a handle and bedrail clips for easy transport monitoring.
