ZOLL 1600
Semiautomatic Defibrillator

The new ZOLL 1600 offers complete capabilities in an easy-to-use rugged unit, With semi-automatic and optional manual modes, the ZOLL 1600 is for first responders, EMTs and paramedics alike. It provides "one unit standardization" and its optional features and protocols let you choose capabilities--now and in the future, The ZOLL 1600 sets a new standard for EMS resuscitation systems.
ZOLL 1600
Superior design when it matters:
Easy to carry--at 14 pounds, it's the lightest and smallest full-featured defibrillator available
Unsurpassed ease-of-use--large visual message display, adjustable voice prompts, simple operation
View under all conditions--large, bright 1.5 inch CRT display
No tapes--digital recording of ECG and audio data enhance reliability and quality
Download 1600 PCMCIA event data directly to a personal computer via integral RS-232 serial port to review and archive
ACLS capabilities, including external pacing by key switch override to assure security
PC Software-Based Medical Control
An important benefit of the ZOLL 1600 is its ability to record information, including voice, on a reliable solid-state PCMCIA data card. ZOLL Data Control Software analyzes and stores this information on a standard PC eliminating added cost and complexity for medical control hardware.
ZOLL Data Control Software uses a familiar "windowing" system with pull down menus and graphics for easy incident review
Review an entire record in "real-time" playback or fast overview
Event search locates specific events and highlights for display
All events are labeled and can be annotated with notes by the reviewer
"Utstein-Style" report generation is provided with ZOLL Data Control Software.
The ZOLL 1600 is part of a total system approach to cardiac resuscitation. It has simple, color-coded controls and displays to minimize training time and maximize familiarity. Common batteries, electrodes and accessories, assure true system compatibility. Every ZOLL unit is designed to accept add-on upgrade modules.

Preconnected Electrode System
Electrodes preconnect to
the defibrillator to eliminate extra steps and speed shock delivery. No
other company offers this feature. ZOLL electrodes are compatible across every
ZOLL product, making patient transfer to ALS and hospitals simple and easy. The
ZOLL Electrode System is superior.
Even when preconnected, our stat-padz(TM) design provides a full year of electrode shelf life
Speed Pack(TM) packaging can cut application time in half and organizes electrodes and cables
Multi-Function capability allows a single pair of stat-padz to be used for monitoring, defibrillation and external pacing
Battery Management
ZOLL's low-maintenance, rechargeable, sealed lead-acid batteries are ideal for continuous monitoring and provide rapid, multiple defibrillator discharges. To ensure maximum battery life and reliability, we offer three advanced power management options tailored to your application:
Single-Battery Charger-Included standard with ZOLL 1600 defibrillator
PowerCharger--Offers advanced AC or DC power conversion and battery charging in a small, compact module for the defibrillator. Its "smart" circuitry alerts you to AC power interruption and reminds you to plug the unit in after a user defined time period--a ZOLL exclusive. It has charger test and fault detection capability and charges a fully-depleted battery in 4 hours or less.
Battery Management Program to help you establish, monitor and plan for reliable, consistent battery management.
Summary Function
Print multiple resuscitation summaries on demand. Deliver a concise report of patient arrest upon arrival at the hospital.
A History of Saving Lives
For over 40 years, Paul M. Zoll, M.D., performed pioneering cardiac resuscitation research developing life support tools today's medical professionals depend on for their patients. Dr. Zoll demonstrated the life-saving effectiveness of both cardiac resuscitation and cardiac pacing. Today Dr. Zoll's innovative leadership is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to developing the most advanced, reliable, and effective cardiac resuscitation systems available--a philosophy that has helped make ZOLL one of the fastest-growing companies in cardiac resuscitation today. Our commitment to helping you improve care is demonstrated in everything we provide.
Noninvasive External Pacing
Patented pacing technology developed by Dr. Zoll and introduced in 1984, offers superior capture rates, lower mean capture threshold and improved patient tolerance.
ZOLL Training and Ease-of-Use
At ZOLL we provide resuscitation products that are simple-to-use and help EMS professionals make the most of them. We offer comprehensive support, including: in-service videotapes, in-service sales demonstrations, Defibrillator/Pacemaker Simulators, and Defibrillation Training Electrodes for use on all manikins. ZOLL can arrange a program tailored to the needs of your team.
Chain of Survival
Early and rapid intervention in each important "link" of the Chain of Survival can have a significant impact on patient outcome. Because of their simplicity and innovative design, ZOLL resuscitation systems help you respond quickly and effectively to speed defibrillation and early ACLS. ZOLL's stat-padz eliminate unnecessary steps and delays related to electrode application. Our products are simple to operate and we provide capabilities that are unmatched. ZOLL has a strong tradition of innovation in cardiac resuscitation and is committed to helping you improve your community's Chain of Survival.
